List of Best Law Colleges in Islamabad and Rawalpindi

After completion of intermediate many students want to get admission to law college for LLB. They often ask the following question;

  • Which is the best college for LLB?
  • Can I do LLB after FSc in Pakistan?
  • What is the eligibility of LLB?
  • What is the scope of LLB in Pakistan?
  • Can I do LLB private in Pakistan?

So we thought of making an article that will answer all these questions. We also made a list of best law colleges in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. These law schools are recognized by the Punjab Bar Council and HEC.

After 2019 these law schools of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are only offering LLB 5 years degree. These colleges are university affiliated colleges. These law universities take exams on an annual basis and issues degree, the college only provides tuition. There are recognized 20 law offering universities in Pakistan and these colleges are affiliated with these universities.

Eligibility and Scope of LLB

After the recent judgment of the supreme court of Pakistan LLB, 3 years degree program is banned. Now students can only get admission in LLB 5 years (LLB Hons). To get admission in LLB degree you must pass the intermediate exam.

The minimum passing marks must be 50%. It doesn’t matter if you have F.Sc or I.Com degree, you can get admission if you have any degree equivalent to intermediate.

The scope of LLB is very wide. There is a whole world that wants your services. After getting lawyer license you can become part of the best Law firms of Pakistan. Or you can become a Judge or district prosecutor.

Supreme court has also banned private LLB including evening classes. So if any institution is still offering private LLB in Islamabad, Rawalpindi or in Pakistan. It’s a scam, do not fall victim to these culprits.

  6. Is any one forward details regrading best college which conclude LLB in evening class because Iam a Government Employ.

    • It’s a regular degree no institution offer weekend classes. But they don’t really care about candidate’s attendance so it’s up to you whether you attend class regularity or not.

    • Dear i will prefer if you get admission in Law universities, beside in june many universities will open admission. so, if you manage to get admitted in isamic university islmabad, or punjab uni it’s best.

  12. Sallam sir. Can you please tell me the perquisites for getting admission in punjab law college. I want to take admission in 3 years LLB program. I have done simple BA (Sargodha University with second division). All i am worried about is that will they accept me with 48% in BA? Though it is 2nd division.

    • Time time higher education commission has decided that all colleges whether private or gov. must conduct LAT(Law assessment test) for the admission in LLB in Pakistan

    • after 31st DEC 3 years llb will not be offered b any university. but you can get admission before that so hurry up there are many law colleges who are offering 3 years llb,

      • Dear Is there any age limit restriction in 3 years LLB new admissions?
        I have inquire from couple of colleges and they said that Punjab University affiliate colleges are not permitted to grant admission on upper limit age of 26, over 26 age is the upper limit.

        Kindly tell me this rule is also applicable to Islamia University Bahawalpur Affiliate Colleges, and please share the list of Islamia University Affiliate colleges availanble in RWP/ISL.

    • There is no particular area while doing LLB. Because LLB is a general degree of law. In order to get specialization in Cyber crimes you have to do LLM after LLB.

    • currently, there’s no university that is offering 3 years of LLB because the supreme court has banned it. Instead, you can pass the LAT test and then get admission in LLB 5 years.

But as per given available information on this site, it has been mentioned that university college of islamabad is still offering 3 year LLB program. Please clarify this ambiguity. Thanks

    • Walikum u salam.
      It’s good that you are interested in LLB dear the minimum criterion is an intermediate degree and you are quite overqualified which is good. In order to get admission first, you have to pass the LAW GAT test conducted under HEC. Now coming to the main point which is you want admission to a university that offers LLB in evening classes. I’m afraid after the recent supreme court verdict All Universities across Pakistan and affiliate colleges are banned to offer LLB evening classes.
      However, there are some law colleges in Rawalpindi that are quite lenient if you don’t want to attend classes they might give you some leverage, but you have to get admission in morning classes.
